How to Exfoliate Using Tylenol

25 Sep

Exfoliation is the process of removing dead skin cells. There are various exfoliates that could be use, but many contain harsh ingredients or can be quite pricey. In this article, you’ll learn how to exfoliate your skin (especially delicate areas) using acetaminophen/paracetamol tablets.

You can buy Tylenol on this website or you can ask your local drugstore for aspirin.

step 1.

Prepare for the exfoliation. Find a secure place that has running water, such as a bathroom sink or in the shower/bathtub. Begin by collecting your main ingredient, Tylenol (or any other brand of acetaminophen/paracetamol).

Step 2.

Prepare the paste. Use about 2-3 tablets, depending on the place you are exfoliating (face or neck) or on the actual size of the tablets.

Step 3.

Make the paste. Add a few drops of water, enough to dissolve the tablets. Be cautious; adding too much water may spoil the paste. A few drops of water is fine. Use your fingers to break up the tablets while they’re dissolving. This will speed up the process.

Step 4.

Rub the paste over the area Rub the paste vigorously over your face. You can mix the Tylenol paste with a facial cleanser or lotion to make it easier to spread. Rub the paste in a circular motion for about 1-2 minutes.

Step 5.

Rinse off. Use water to rinse off the paste. Finish by patting dry with a towel.

  • This article was directed for use on the face. The results of this recipe varies depending on the body part(s) exfoliated. This recipe works best for the face and neck.
  • Remember to use less or more ingredients, depending on the area you are exfoliating.
  • Use non-coated tablets, such as Regular Strength Tylenol, or a similar product. It is much easier to make into a paste using non-coated tablets and the results are generally better. Use tablets that are neutral in color as colored tablets may leave stains.
  • Don’t use too much water or the paste won’t work.
  • If desired, mix the Tylenol paste with a cleansing product or a cream to make it easier to spread.
  • Don’t rub too hard or for too long. 1-2 minutes in a circular motion is sufficient.
  • Don’t do this too often as it will make your skin raw.

  • If you’re allergic to Tylenol or the similar brand that you are using, then don’t use this recipe.
  • Don’t use hot water!
